The story of the family lands started 5 generations ago when Aimée and Hubert succeeded their respective parents. Like many families at this time their daily activities were very varied; work in the fields, vine cultivation, farm management. They also had a small herd of goats that they bravely took to the steep Chavignol hillsides to graze. All the work was entirely done by hand with just the assistance of their two draft horses.

Their one son Henri naturally took over from his parents. Too young to leave for the war he took part in the daily tasks from a very young age. Then he met and married Thérèse. They both continued with the farm and vineyard. But over the years they especially developed vine cultivation and marketing the wine gradually leaving off mixed farming.

Thérèse and Henri shared their enthusiasm with three of their children; Daniel, Jean-François and Benoît.

Daniel, responsible for managing the family farm, prospered the family business by promoting international development and multiplying the range of wines making the most of the different terroirs. His wife Christiane joined him in 1982 reorganising the administration.

Now retired, Jean-François worked continuously in the family vineyard.

Benoît, the cellar master, takes care of everything to do with winemaking and bottling. Qualified in agriculture he gained experience in the Beaune vineyards before joining his brothers in 1990. He makes wine with all the varieties of the domain respecting the traditions and always to favour quality. To achieve this, in 1992, the family built a modern cellar. Over the years, the family also acquired new vines in Chavignol and around Sancerre.

Caroline and Anne-Sophie are the daughters of Daniel and Christiane. Initially graduating in hotel management, Caroline has been the commercial and administrative manager for some fifteen years.
Anne-Sophie gained her national degree as an oenologist in Bordeaux in 2008 where she learned from the experience and teaching of Denis Dubourdieu. She has strengthened her experience in various prestigious vineyards in Bourgogne, Bordeaux and New Zealand. She works together with Benoit to sublimate the wines and continuously improve their quality.
