Grandfather António Camilo Pacheco Pereira Leite, after graduating in Medicine at the University of Porto, returned to his village to take care of his younger brothers as they were orphaned very early. He set up his doctor office at Casa da Venda where he treated his patients. However, as he was against the dictatorial regime at the time, he was unable to find work in public hospitals. He decided to practice medicine in the villages, towns of the county and bordering counties….he was the authentic “João Semana”…he left home riding his brown mare named “Micas” and accompanied by his dog “Nero” (Castro laboreiro breed). He never went out without taking a bottle of white wine from the time in his pack….(the recently called “Orange wine”).
Medium gold color. Citrus aromas, guava with some vegetal and barrique notes. Good structure, fresh, dry and elegant. Very smooth, pleasant and persistent.
