Grapes Loureiro (100%)
Soil Cantim Vineyard, the oldest Loureiro vineyard of Quinta do Tamariz.
Winemaking After a careful manual harvest, with picking in the vineyard itself, the grapes were taken in small boxes to the winery. The grapes were pressed without destemming.
The whole grapes were vinified at a temperature of 14ºC to 16ºC for 30 days without malolactic fermentation.
Aging Stainless steel vats.

Quinta do Tamariz is a territory of history and stories.

The legacy of what is today the Quinta do Tamariz began to be developed in the late nineteenth century by António Borges. António was a banker completely surrendered to the delights of the vineyard who decided to expand his activity, initially focused on the prestigious bank Casa Borges & Irmão, to the export of wines made in his farms.

However, it was from 1926, with D. Lúcia Borges Vinagre having inherited the farms in S. Miguel da Carreira, in Barcelos village, from her father, António Borges, that a strong winegrowing development began.

In the vineyard and in the winery, lemma is: more physics and less chemistry.

Quinta do Tamariz maintains the tradition and the experience accumulated throughout four generations, always with its eyes on the future, sseeking a prominent position in the wine market.

In the vinification and bottling process they seek to preserve the memory of a time that has survived us. The same passion of ancestors serves as a motto so that each bottle is an experience that certainly will not forget.
