And why not oppose the traditional Castelão with the unlikely Marselan. After a lot of work to find the best combination for these very different varieties, a voluminous Castelão resulted, complemented by the structure and roughness of Marselan. The 18 months in the barrel made it possible to achieve an improbable but perfect balance.

Antítese wines are a personal project of two friends and winemakers Ricardo Santos and Gilberto Marques who decided to produce a wine with two grape varieties, one Portuguese and one foreign, which were unlikely to result in a blend, hence the name "Antithesis".
So far, three wines have been produced with a Portuguese variety from two wine regions: Setúbal and Lisbon, which combined with a foreign variety have resulted in wines with incredible balance and splendid harmony.
The white Antítese of the Lisbon region is produced with the Arinto and Pinot Grigio grape varieties.
The white Antítese of the Setúbal region is produced with the varieties Fernão Pires and Chardonnay.
The Antítese Reserva red from the Setúbal region is produced with the traditional Castelão and the unlikely Marselan.
This is Antítese, wine oposing the general wines in the market, making a diference and paving the way to great wines.
