Quinta da Ribeira is located in Meca, in the medieval municipality of Alenquer, and is currently the headquarters of the Félix Rocha Agricultural Society. This family-run enterprise began producing wine in the mid-19th century, driven by the passion of Mr Félix Rocha, great-grandfather of the current generation of managers.

Since 1991, the fourth generation of the family has recognised the importance of continuous investment in production. This led to a complete renovation of both the vineyards and the winery.

Today, the company cultivates several hectares of vineyards, spread across a number of estates: Quinta da Ribeira, Quinta do Casal do Mato, Quinta do Casal Novo, Quinta de São Cristóvão, Quinta do Baracho, Quinta das Sete Pedras, Quinta da Amoreira and Quinta do Morais.

The vineyards are planted in clay and limestone soils, across gentle and steep slopes with ideal southern sun exposure. These lands are home to a range of Portuguese grape varieties, such as Touriga Franca, Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz (Aragonez), Fernão Pires, Arinto, Alvarinho and Moscatel, as well as international varieties including Merlot, Syrah, Petit Verdot, Alicante Bouschet, Caladoc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc.

The diversity of wines reflects the richness of grape varieties and the methods used in their production. The red wines are full-bodied, aromatic and elegant, with great depth and structure. The white wines are fresh, with good acidity and a mineral, citrus-driven profile. These are versatile wines, offering excellent balance and complexity.

All wines produced by the Félix Rocha Agricultural Society display outstanding ageing potential in the bottle.

The company is also deeply committed to environmental sustainability and operates under an integrated protection system.
