Soil | The vineyard is located in the Colares Region, the most westerly of continental Europe and in the heart of the Sintra-Cascais Natural Park, on the southern slope of Cabo da Roca at an average altitude of 220m. This wine was made with the Encruzado grape variety, grafted on-site and following the principles of integrated protection. |
Winemaking | Manual harvest for 18 Kg boxes, being the grapes carefully selected, totally destemmed and gently pressed at low temperature. The must is clarified statically at 12ºC, The alcoholic fermentation occurs in French oak barrels at a controlled temperature of 14ºC. |
Aging | French oak barrels with Batonnage for 6 months and ageing on lees for 4 months. |

Quinta Vale da Roca is an old property located in Azóia in Colares. Five minutes from Cabo da Roca, the westernmost point of Europe, and in the middle of the Sintra Natural Park, it is on the southern slope of Cabo da Roca, in a forested landscape where the recently planted vineyard stands out.
