Monte Bluna began its journey in 2015, with the purchase of a small vineyard with over 40 years old. Since then, Monte Bluna has been working hard to develop wines of superior quality in an ancient region of great epithet but forgotten memory: Arruda dos Vinhos (Arruda of the Wines). At the moment they explore 6 hectares of vineyards, all in altitude, flanked by the Atlantic and the Tagus and are developing, in these sedimentary lands of the Jurassic period, a unique wine project.

The Philosophy
The best wine, when nature wants. Men will do everything not to interfere in the constant work of the vineyard, giving only their traditional knowledge of maintaining and protecting it. From an ancestral place, where Arruda won the epithet “dos Vinhos” and where this qualifier is proven and comes to life. The best wine, from the best place, only when nature wants. This is our commitment.

The Vineyard
It is located on the site of Moinho do Céu, in the Arruda dos Vinhos region, flanked by the Atlantic and the Tagus. The sedimentary geological units date from the Jurassic. The vineyard is in a narrow strip called Amaral's corallic limestones in clay-limestone soil. It is installed on a sunny and windy plateau at an altitude of 313 m. It has NNO - SSE orientation and is conducted in a bilateral cord. Agricultural practices are of sustainable agriculture, promoting biodiversity and a biodynamic environment.
