The name MARCO 3 is inspired by the 1758 Marco Pombalino, which bears this number, classified as a historical monument, and which, resisting over the years, insists on staying on one of the terraces of Quinta da Ferreira de Baixo, evoking the primitive demarcation of the region.
It is appealing in the mouth, with emphasis on fresh fruit, hints of tea and expressive mineral notes. Very good breadth in the mouth, fresh, mineral with a crescendo of fruit and mineral flavours.

Quinta Ferreira de Baixo is located in Baixo Corgo, one of the three sub-regions of the Douro Demarcated Region.

The great human investment in this landscape of singular beauty has made it possible to establish populations since the distant Roman occupation, and it has resulted in a living and evolving reality, at the same time testimony of the past and the engine of the future, solidly anchored in the optimization of natural resources and preserving nature.

The vineyards are located at the top of the deep valleys up to the river bank and create a magnificent landscape recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site in 2001.

The Quinta Ferreira de Baixo project appears in search of childhood memories, part of them linked to the land. Impressed by the extraordinary beauty of the place, the Quinta was acquired in 2007 and, from then on, they gave shape to the idea of ​​adapting and molding this admirable space to its essence, not deviating from the primary objective of producing and, thus, making it possible to enjoy , high quality wines, an attribute of the region, but imbued with a very special affection. Their wines, born in a unique terroir, are carefully monitored from the vine to the vinification, made with minimal intervention, which makes them wines of excellence, with their own identity and without artifice, with respect for their land and people. and reconciled with their origin and nature.
