Winemaking In their family goes back four generations, since 1940, Quinta de Tourais itself dates to the foundation of Portugal, and the presence of monks of the Cistercian order.

Descendants from workers of the land, they continue the work started by their grandparents which has always been associated with the cultivation of vineyards; and reinforce each day how important their connection to the land is. This connection means they respect and use appropriate natural resources, without compromising the future.

Quinta de Tourais has 8 hectares of vineyards and more than 30 different varieties of grape. Their small wine production is based on a clear responsibility for the intervention they have in the vineyard, so as not to compromise their ecosystem and biodiversity.

They always seek to combine the most valuable learning that traditional production provides them with the innovative techniques and technologies of the moment.
