Coming from a completely new vineyard in the Douro Superior, this is a wine whose first edition (2014) resulted from the first vintage of this vineyard. Although it may seem like a contradiction in terms, sometimes very young vines manage to produce grapes with an incredible concentration of fruit, acidity and tannins. Examples are the 1982 Bordeaux Le Pin and the 1931 Noval Nacional Vintage Port, both unbelievable wines resulting from the first vintage of young vines. Now, in this fourth elaboration (2019), with the vines already more established, we revisit the vibrance and concentration of black fruit that delighted us in previous editions of this "Improbable Vineyards", but this time with even more depth and extension of flavour, undoubtedly a result of the greater maturity of the vineyard (9 years). To these attributes, a more careful vinification was added, necessary to shape the always strong tannin structure and make the wine a hymn to elegance.
