Winemaking Grapes are harvested by hand, in 25kg boxes, at their ideal point of ripeness. After gentle crushing and total destemming, the grapes are fermented in stainless steel vats at a controlled temperature allowing the quality constituents present in the skins of ripe grapes to pass smoothly into the wine.
Aging 10 months in old French oak barrels.

The grapes that give rise to their wines come from different parcels located in the Douro region, in the village of Mós, Vila Nova de Foz Côa, with an average altitude of 420 meters, rising exposure and with mostly shale soil.

Family and friends gather on the day designated for the grape picking, and work begins very early with the noisy arrival of the men and their tools, the women with the wicker baskets for the grapes will be carried on their heads. The children follow radiantly and closely every minute of the harvest, picking all the berries that fall from the distracted hands of the elders with delicious grapes. The chirping of the birds joins the songs sung from the bottom to the top of the vineyard. At nightfall, the harvest and the celebrations continue in the presses where the men unload and pack the grapes picked in the morning, harvested by hand by this "filão" of people that keep alive the tradition of the Grixa vineyard.
