Quinta da Espinhosa was born from the dream of its founder Alberto Oliveira Pinto.
Over many years he acquired, with the help of his father, José António Lopes, small properties which he gradually annexed, the first of which was "Espinhosa".
These vineyards are planted between 500 and 600 metres above sea level, with noble grape varieties from the Dão region as well as very old ones, some of which are almost residual.
Having been one of the first quintas to produce and bottle wines with its own brand, it continues today, almost 50 years later, to produce high quality wines with the elegance and freshness typical of the sub-region Serra da Estrela.
