Cabernet Sauvignon

From the region of Bordeaux, in the southwest of France, it is the most spread variety grape in the world, produced in all temperate and warm zones. It is the result of the crossing between the Cabernet Franc and Sauvignon Blanc grapes. The wines produced in cold regions are lighter, with red fruit aromas. The warm regions produce wines with a higher degree of alcohol, mature tannins and fruity aromas. Cabernet Sauvignon wines have an intense colour and pronounced tannins. It is a good grape to blend with silky grapes.
