Alicante Bouschet

Alicante Bouschet is a wine grape variety created by Henry Bouschet, between 1865 and 1885, from the crossing between Grenache and Petit Bouschet grapes. For being created from this process is considered a grape with no country and was adopted mostly in Portugal where he meets his home in Alentejo region. Alicante Bouschet is a variety that produces dark and intense wines. The aromas have hints of mint, some eucalyptus, olives and mint.
