Camarate

The origin of this indigenous Portuguese caste is unknown. Currently, the Tejo is the region with the most vineyards of this grape although, with little expression. It has a great historical tradition but, it is a variety that does not produce wines to the actual taste profile. For this reason, it isn´t very used. Camarate wines have a medium intense ruby colour. Its aroma is of ripe berries and, the flavour is velvety and smooth, with soft tannins. It should be consumed young.
