Tália

Tália is a grape variety of Italian origin, probably dating back to Roman times. It is spread all over the winemaking countries. In Portugal, the region with the most planted area is Tejo. Its popular name is Douradinho in the Vinho Verde region and Branquinha in the Tejo region. The wines from this variety are clear with slight citric tones and the aroma of a young, fresh, elegant and balanced wine, where the notes of unripe green fruits and citrus stand out. In taste, wines from this variety show some acidity, with marked fruity and youthful characteristics, but the wine leads to age quickly and lose all its quality.
