Grüner Veltliner

It is Austria's most important indigenous white wine grape variety. It became the most planted in the 1950s and is now the dominant grape variety. The most distinctive characteristic of these wines is their minerality and vibrant acidity. It gives rise to wines of various styles, from fresh, light wines with peppery citrus flavours to rich, more complex and structured wines that are often barrel-aged and have more tropical fruit flavours.
