Wine produced with the grape varieties Touriga Nacional, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Merlot, had fermentation and aging for 12 months in used barrels of French oak, presents a medium intensity garnet color and a nose rich in notes of red fruit, spices and A certain menolated touch. In the mouth is a very balanced wine where tannins show some firmness but, at the same time, good integration with wood and fruit.

The Almeida Garrett family builds its winery in the year 1856 in Tortosendo and since then has produced quality wine until today, in the same facilities.
In 1889 the family won their first Bronze medal and the inscription in the Book of Gold at the International Exhibition of Paris with the quality of their wines and olive oils.
Later with the advent of the Republic, the early XIX century, the Almeida Garrett emigrate to France and when they return they plant the first rods of the Chardonnay grape variety. This is an emblematic caste of the family house.
Since then has been betting on the diversity of its agricultural products, however the wines have been the focus and the largest percentage of the family's dedication.
Currently Almeida Garrett Wines is one of the most emblematic references of Beira Interior, being the oldest producer in the region with a planting area of about 44ha and already has the work of the 4th and 5th generation.
