Clear, deep ruby colour. Intense aroma of ripe red fruit, dried plum, and a slight smoky note. On the palate, the fruit stands out, along with hints of spice and a subtle sweetness. Medium-bodied, with concentrated and polished tannins, balanced acidity, and very well-integrated oak.

| Winemaking | Total destemming, followed by alcoholic fermentation in cement vats at a controlled temperature between 25ºC and 28ºC, with skin maceration and manual punch-down. Malolactic fermentation took place after racking, either in stainless steel tanks or in oak barrels. Ageing of 30% of the blend in new and second-use French oak barrels for 24 months. |

Quinta da Lagoa Velha is owned by Neto family since 1969 who embraced the Bairrada wine production with all its passion. Managed by the third generation Quinta da Lagoa Velha remains faithful to the principles and values that have always been assumed from the beginning, to produce Portuguese wines from prestigious region of Bairrada. Red wines are produced according to traditional methods and the grapes are carefully selected for the winemaking process. In white and sparkling wines, winemaking is made with temperature control, in order to obtain very distinct, fine and aromatic wines. The wines of Quinta da Lagoa Velha are natural, and unrepeatable. Placed on market only when were at a perfect time to enjoy.
