| Winemaking | Total destemming followed by gente pressing, aiming to extract only the free-run juice and avoiding the crushing of the skins. Bical and Arinto were fermented separately in stainless steel tanks, with 15% of the Arinto fermented in traditional lagar after a 24-hour skin contact, promoting a delicate maceration to enhance aromatic and structural complexity. This small portion of the blend fermented in new 500L French oak barrels and underwent 6 months of ageing, providing a subtle increase in structure, volume, and delicate oak notes, without overpowering the grape’s natural freshness and minerality. |

Quinta da Lagoa Velha is owned by Neto family since 1969 who embraced the Bairrada wine production with all its passion. Managed by the third generation Quinta da Lagoa Velha remains faithful to the principles and values that have always been assumed from the beginning, to produce Portuguese wines from prestigious region of Bairrada. Red wines are produced according to traditional methods and the grapes are carefully selected for the winemaking process. In white and sparkling wines, winemaking is made with temperature control, in order to obtain very distinct, fine and aromatic wines. The wines of Quinta da Lagoa Velha are natural, and unrepeatable. Placed on market only when were at a perfect time to enjoy.
