Pormenor Reserva Branco 2015 was produced with a blend of typical grapes from Douro. Mainly Rabigato, Malvasia Fina and Códega do Larinho. The grapes were harvested in early September in order to achieve a good acidity. Grapes from very old vines, above 70 years old and planted at altitudes between 600 to 800 meters, in Carrazeda de Ansiães - Pombal, Douro Superior. Wine with clean and vibrant straw color. On the nose, you can find contained floral aromas, with vibrant and strong minerality. Acidity well marked with evidence of citrus, green apple and pineapple. A light touch of wood. On the palate, it reveals good intensity of the mouth, typical of old vines. A balanced and elegant acidity with medium long finish, balanced smoke and well integrated ageing in barrel. This wine has a good ageing potencial.

Pormenor wines arise in Douro in 2013 by the hand and dream of 3 friends - José Silva, Miguel Cardozo and Pedro Coelho.
Linked to the wine in an indirect way, families embrace grandparents who worked as producer of oak barrels and parents, cork producers. It was missing someone dedicated to produce good wine. It was how Pormenor arise. Families came together under a fundamental premise, Douro. The oldest demarcated wine region in the world.
Pormenor wants to produce wines that grab and tell stories. Wines that can express the real and the best of Douro. Ground. Vineyards. Grape. Climate. The hands and feet of those who work all the elements.
Our philosophy is based exclusively on grapes providing from old vineyards and planted in altitude, in different places in the Douro. The places we consider the best for each type of wine. Natural inheritance of the hands that planted the vines many years ago, in places that we consider the most indicated to express the quality of wines produced in Douro.
The work is done in a very non-interventional way letting the natural conditions of each vintage can be expressed later in a bottle of wine. Generally grapes harvested relatively early, that tend to produce wines with contained alcoholic degree and high freshness. Authentic wines with the Terroir well expressed.
In harmony and respect for the traditional grapes, we look to produce honest wines, whose ideology is attached to the minimum of intervention. We prefer to keep chemical technologies out of the winemaking process, letting the knowledge of years of experience, with the oenological know-how of the consulting winemaker, Luís Seabra. Fresh and elegant wines are expected, we like to call it, uncomplicated wines.

White grapes from Pombal de Ansiães - Douro Superior and red grapes from Soutelo do Douro and Nagozelo do Douro - Cima Corgo, both with common characteristics, exclusively from old vines planted at high altitudes and typically grape varieties drom Douro.
