Widow Le Cocq e Filhos, Lda, was the company created by the heirs of João José Le Cocq, founder of Quinta do Prado in Castelo de Vide. The Prado was, in 1850, a model farm in Portugal.
The epidemics observed in the second half of the XIXth century led to the creation of nurseries of vines in the Prado. It is thought that this was the way of introducing some French grape varieties in Portugal.
The Porto da Bouga Vinhos, Lda is heir to a historical heritage in the wine area in Portugal. The Estate is on the southern slope of the Serra de São Mamede and Quinta do Prado, on the north slope.
