Quinta do Carvalhão Torto is located in the municipality of Nelas, in the geographical center of the Dão Demarcated Region.
Its history has a past indelibly linked to the production of Dão wine, being the property of a family ancestrally linked to the precious nectar, heir to this "know how".
Its vineyards cultivated under integrated protection regime are located at an average altitude of 450 meters on quartzite granitic soils. With an area of six hectares spread over the main grape varieties of the region, Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz, Jaen, Alfrocheiro and Encruzado.
Winemakers are adept at the endogenous characteristics and the genuineness of the wines produced, revealing the specificity of the region's grape varieties and Terroir.
The winemaking and aging process is in keeping with tradition, without the intervention of wood, producing elegant wines with excellent structure and longevity, complex and aromatically quite fresh.
Their wines are considered as representatives of the "Classic Dão".
