João Tereso produced his first wine from grapes from his grandfather Zé Fazendeiro's vineyard, near Alcobaça, two east-south and south-west plots on clay-limestone soils, mostly composed of Fernão Pires and Vital grape varieties. In that year of 2017, there was no memory of such an early harvest in the “Carris” valleys but the early heat in the spring and hot and dry summer in this year of 2017 led the grapes to be ready weeks before usual. This 2017 white Chinado , with low oenological intervention and light tanning (48 hours of maceration), aged in bottle for 2 years and arrived on the market in a limited edition of 300 bottles for the pleasure of some. Later Chinado Palheto came from a vineyard that was abandoned with many mixed grape varieties, and orange wine Chinado an intense wine in every way.
All wines are made from old vines, between 40 and 60 years old, in the Alcobaça area. In whites, the most prevalent grape varieties are Fernão Pires and Vital, in red Castelão and Baga. They are unique wines, of limited editions that express the vineyard, the uniqueness of each year and each harvest, and the terroir.
